There’s been plenty of rumours recently regarding the future of Samsung’s camera division which have been fuelled by recent announcements that they are pulling out of the UK market and that sales of Samsung cameras have been disappointing.
Today the rumour mill has been buzzing and things have got even more interesting with speculation that Nikon will acquire Samsung’s NX technology. With the interest in mirrorless cameras (currently dominated by Sony, Olympus and Panasonic) growing this would place Nikon in a better position to launch a new range of mirrorless cameras using Samsung’s existing NX technology. Could there be a full frame mirrorless Nikon camera on the horizon? Who knows for sure, but there are defintely interesting times ahead for photographers.
